This course lays a very solid foundation for business or employment in any area of Horticultural Production.

Learn Nursery and crop production to start or develop a career or business. Learn to grow fruit, vegetables, herbs, cutflowers, and run a nursery. Manage a market garden, orchard, or a production nursery in this 600 hour course.

This course covers areas such as plant identification, soils, plant nutrition, pests, and diseases. Marketing, managing staff, and finances, as well as marketing, are covered in this course. 

Many will use this course to become a farm manager, work in marketing horticultural crops or start your own business. Others will use it to enhance a career they have already started in the horticulture industry.

The Certificate in Horticulture covers:

- CORE STUDIES - this involves at least 300 hours, which is approx. half of the course.
- ELECTIVE STUDIES - this involves a further 300 hrs of study going into greater depth in the areas of nursery production including propagation techniques, business management, commercial horticulture crops, and engineering.
